Juno
Juno
Juno came from Poros Island, and was initially cared for by an elderly woman who fed many cats in her garden and on the street. When Juno appeared unwell, a visit to the vet revealed she had cat flu and was underweight. After treatment, it was decided to keep Juno, knowing that she wouldn’t receive the necessary care and diet if she remained with the elderly woman. Over time, Juno blossomed into a beautiful and loving cat.
In early May 2024, Juno faced a serious health crisis. She had developed an abscess on her neck, likely from a cat fight. After an unsuccessful attempt to clean the wound, Juno disappeared for four days. When she returned, she was unable to walk and kept collapsing. A vet in Lygourio suspected that she might have been shaken by someone or a dog. Juno was hospitalized for four days, recovered, and was kept indoors thereafter.
Despite this recovery, Juno’s health took another turn for the worse. A visit to the local vet revealed she had worms, and she was treated accordingly. However, her condition deteriorated, and on May 9, 2024, she was found collapsed in her litter tray. With the local clinic closed, Juno was rushed to a vet in Corinth, where her heart was found to have an erratic beat, and she collapsed again. The vets suspected a neurological issue and recommended further tests.
On May 10, Juno was too ill to travel and had a serious neurological problem, making her prognosis uncertain. Despite showing signs of improvement the following day, she sadly passed away on May 24, 2024.
