Mary, Midge, and Mungo

Mary, Midge, and Mungo

Three siblings (two males and one female) arrived as kittens needing fostering after being rescued and initially adopted. Sadly, their travel plans were disrupted by the onset of COVID-19 and subsequent shutdowns. When travel resumed, the prospective adopters had lost interest. Having been with us for nearly two years, we couldn’t bear to see them back on the streets.

Mary, the black cat, died after spending a couple of hours hospitalized. The vet said that she must have had some kind of virus but she was clear of Fiv/FELV. Or that she may have eaten something poisonous.  She died on 7th June.

By the end of October, we faced another devastating blow when Mungo succumbed to liver disease. Despite our best efforts and veterinary care, we couldn’t save him.

Now, only Midge remains, the last of the three siblings. He carries on their memory, but caring for him and the many other cats in our sanctuary comes with significant costs. Vet bills, food, shelter, and medication all add up, and we rely on the generosity of kind-hearted supporters like you.

Please consider making a donation to help us continue providing Midge and our other rescues with the love, care, and safety they deserve. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Thank you for your kindness and support.
