Mies
Mies
Formerly known as Captain, came into our care from a friend who found her at a local bar named Captain. She had a bad eye due to cat flu, but upon examination at the vet’s, it was discovered that she was actually female. Since she was still very young, we had to wait three months before proceeding with the operation. During this time, her eye was cleaned and she was put on antibiotics.
Just before her surgery, we received a call from a Dutch family interested in adopting a young cat. After a video call, their son immediately fell in love with her. We fostered Mies for about six months, socializing her as she was semi-wild and initially distrusted humans. Her operation took place when she was six months old, and she was able to travel just over a month later, although still retaining some of her semi-wild behavior.
Upon arriving at her new home, Mies was renamed and for the first three months, she remained in her room and was initially unfriendly towards the other cat. However, she has since settled into her new Dutch home and is now thriving and content.
