Perrie was discovered as a kitten during a Trap-Neuter-Release program (TNR) when Robert spotted him running across the road, dragging his legs behind him. He was taken to the veterinarian the following day, revealing two broken legs. After surgery, one leg did not heal properly due to muscle shrinkage, necessitating amputation. Two years later, it was noticed that his remaining back leg was swollen. Upon examination by the vet, arthritis was diagnosed in his joints. The vet explained that cats with previous injuries of this nature are prone to developing arthritis at the site of damage. Consequently, he is now receiving arthritis medication.
