Samson

Samson

Samson came to us with large sores on his face, initially suspected to be cancer by our local vet. Fortunately, it turned out to be a fungal infection, which was treated successfully. However, as the infection extended up to his eye, he cannot be returned to his usual area in case of a recurrence that might affect his eye. Currently, he is experiencing severe diarrhea, the cause of which remains unknown despite clear blood tests and absence of worms in his stool. He is currently on medication.

Sadly, Samson hasn’t been seen for over a month now. We suspect that he may have wandered too far from home and become lost. Despite our efforts to search for him, we have been unable to locate him. Our sanctuary is surrounded by vast olive groves, and our nearest neighbor is a ten-minute walk uphill, while the other neighbor is about a five-minute walk through the dry riverbed or a twenty-minute walk around it. The rugged terrain and expansive landscape make searching incredibly challenging.

We continue to hold onto hope that Samson may still find his way back to us, but for now, his absence leaves a deep void in our hearts.
